- Good morning boys and girls. I am very glad to see all of you. Sit down, please. - How are you today? - I’m fine thank you. - And you? ( All together: I’m fine thank you). - OK. Thank you. Let’s start our lesson. - Ok! Thank you. It is time to start our lesson. -Please, look at the blackboard. There are some pictures on it. Look at them attentively. What can you say about these people? ( Слайд 1) - They have different hobbies. . And now try to guess «What will we speak at the lesson about?» (Hobbies) - Excellent! Today we will speak about different hobbies that people enjoy in their free time. I’d like you to tell our guests and your classmates about your hobbies and what you prefer doing in your leisure time. Also we’ll find out what activities British and Russian people enjoy in their spare time. I listed the aims of our lesson.
-At first, let`s do a phonetic exercise. Today we will learn a new tongue- twister! And now look at the blackboard and repeat after me: [g], [s], [æ], [d], [ŋ], [ɪ] , [˄] [ɪ ŋ]. Ding-dong, ding-dong, digi-ligi-dong!
- Very good. Now repeat after me some words: Gus Gordon singing dancing
-Now it is time to learn a tongue – twister.(Слайд 2) Gus and Gordon are singing and dancing.
- It’s time to remember the members of the family. Guess, who are they? Look at the screen, read the word combinations and guess. Slide 3
- Today I see a strange pupil in our class. He is from another school. Let’s meet him at our lesson! You should ask as many questions about him and his family as you can. Slide 4.These questions on the screen can help you.
Teacher :Thank you. It was very interesting. Sit down, please! The guest: You know, I also want to listen to the stories about your families. Учащиеся по очереди рассказывают о своих семьях с опорой на план. 1. We are a typical… family. 2. I have got a mother, a father, ….. 3. My Mum is a … 4. My Dad is a … 5. We are friendly and loving. - Different members of the family can have different hobbies. Let’s look at these pictures and guess what hobbies they have. Slide 6. Ученики называют различные увлечения людей.
1, 2, 3 - I like playing. Look at me! 1, 2, 3 - I like running every day . 1, 2, 3 – I like playing football. Look at me! 1, 2, 3 - I like swimming in the sea.
-So, let`s continue our lesson. I want to ask you a question: Can we do all these interesting things indoor? Should we go to the river or to the sport ground? Look at the screen; you can see two new words there. Think a little and divide the following words into two groups: indoor outdoor Slide 7 Writing, karate, cooking, sports, tennis, playing football, listening to music, watching TV, swimming, going to the theatre, snowboarding.
Watching TV is an indoor hobby.
And now we’ll read one exercise from your textbooks. Please, open your books at page 146. Find Ex.6. Study this table, please. It tells you about the hobbies of English students. Find out which hobbies are more or less popular among English students. Answer the questions, using the beginning of the sentence:
Thank you, boys and girls. You’ve done so many exercises at the lesson. You are so clever and active.
